Saints Take The Points On Saracens Return

Chris Lea reports on the first game of the season for Penryn Saracens.

Penryn's second team hosted St. Austell on Saturday and although the visitors came out 42-7 winners, Penryn can take positives from the game.

Young players Guy Howson and Ollie Bush performed well and did their chances of call up to first team in the future a lot of good. More mature players Will Payne and Aaron Cockerill led from the front and can be relied upon. Camborne School of Mines boys added to the mix and George Eton had a good afternoon.

There were good performances across the team and next week at home there is another chance to shine to give players outside the first team valuable game time.

A special mention to referee Brian Andrew who kept the game alive and ensured this was a good event for all concerned.
